Vital Health Test Terms of Service (UK)

Juniper Technologies UK Ltd (company number 13901454) (Pharmacy, we) provides access to the Vital Health Test service, a pathology service delivered in conjunction with a third-party pathology provider (Pathology Provider) and accessible through the Juniper mobile application (App).

These terms of service (Vital Health Test Terms) apply to anyone who orders the Vital Health Test service.

Relationship with Juniper Terms and Conditions

These Vital Health Test Terms supplement Juniper’s general Terms and Conditions, which also continue to apply, including to the Vital Health Test service.  Words defined in the Juniper Terms and Conditions have the same meaning in these Vital Health Test Terms.  To the extent there is any inconsistency between these Vital Health Test Terms and the Juniper Terms in relation to the Vital Health Test service specifically, these Vital Health Test Terms will prevail.

Relationship with Pathology Provider

The Pathology Provider is Randox Laboratories Ltd, with whom we partner to provide the Vital Health Test Services.  All users acknowledge that when using the Vital Health Test service, they enter into a separate agreement with the Pathology Provider, including as governed by the Pathology Provider’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice which are provided by the Pathology Provider separately.  We make no warranties or representations regarding the Pathology Provider’s terms.

The Vital Test Service

The Vital Test Service is an optional service which includes an at-home blood sample collection test kit (Test Kit) and laboratory analysis by the Pathology Provider, as well as an analysis of that data including a report of the results and related health insights (Results) provided by the Pharmacy.  The Pharmacy’s analysis will be undertaken by Partner Prescribers in tandem with third-party technology, including leveraging artificial intelligence. For details regarding third-party technology providers and their processing of the relevant data, please see the Juniper Privacy Notice and Vital Health Test Addendum.

Always consult a member of the Juniper medical team or another qualified clinician of your choice before making any health decisions or actions based on your Results.

Eligibility

In addition to the eligibility requirements set out in the Juniper Terms and Conditions, the Vital Health Test Service is only available to users located in Mainland England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. The Service cannot be provided to addresses in Wales, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, or any other location outside of these specified areas.

Your Responsibilities

You agree to follow all instructions provided with the Test Kit by the Pathology Provider and by us carefully and accurately. This includes instructions relating to safety, sample collection, registration of your kit, handling, and packaging for return postage.

You acknowledge that failure to follow the instructions precisely may result in your blood sample being unsuitable for testing, rejected by the laboratory, or yielding inaccurate or inconclusive Results. In such an event, we may, in our absolute discretion, provide a replacement Test Kit or refund for your first test kit only.  To the maximum extent permitted by law, we take no responsibility for any injury or illness arising in relation to your use of the Test Kit or decisions made based on your Results.

Test Results and Interpretation

Your Results will be made available to you through the App. You acknowledge that the time frame for receiving Results is an estimate and may vary.

You must consult with a qualified healthcare professional, such as a Partner Prescriber or your GP, for the interpretation of your Results and before making any decisions related to your health or treatment. You should not start, stop, or change any course of treatment based on the Results without professional medical guidance.

Data Protection and Consent

By ordering the Vital Health Test Service, you explicitly consent to the sharing of your personal information and sensitive information, with both the Pharmacy and the Pathology Provider – in accordance with each entity’s respective Privacy Notice.  See the Juniper Privacy Notice and Vital Health Test Privacy Addendum we have emailed to you.  The Pathology Provider’s documentation is available from the Pathology Provider’s website at https://www.randox.com/.

Cancellation and Refunds

You have a right to cancel your order for the Vital Health Test Service under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

However, subject to any rights you have, for reasons of health protection and hygiene, once a Test Kit has been dispatched to you, your order for the Vital Health Test Service cannot be cancelled or refunded unless the Test Kit is faulty or damaged upon arrival, unless you have a right under law or against the Pathology Provider.  If you receive a faulty or damaged kit, please contact us immediately using the details in the general Terms and Conditions.

Our role in providing the Vital Health Test Service is limited to:

  • facilitating your access to the Test Kit and the testing services performed by the Pathology Provider, including by arranging payments and deliveries;
  • facilitating and supporting a Partner Prescriber or other suitably qualified clinician to analyse the data, including via analysis undertaken with third-party software leveraging artificial intelligence, and to provide your Results; and
