What do our patients say?
Thousands of British women have found new confidence with Juniper*
The science of weight loss
We know that diet and exercise alone isn’t always enough to lose weight. That’s why Juniper Weight Reset Programme uses medication alongside behavioural changes to create healthy habits that last.
The GLP-1 medications prescribed by Juniper clinicians have been approved in the UK, and are commonly prescribed by GPs and local pharmacies for the treatment of weight management.
To find out of you are eligible, you will have to complete a consultation with one of our Juniper prescribers. This is to ensure a qualified medical professional discusses all the options available to you before you make any decisions regarding medical treatments.
In a 2021 study on the effects of a GLP-1 medication, at 68 weeks, 69.1% of participants had lost more than 10% of body weight, and 50.5% had lost more than 15%. The average weight loss after 68 weeks is 14.9%, and one in three participants lost at least 20% of body weight.
While weight loss medication can help to kickstart lifelong changes, there’s no magic pill for weight loss. Lifestyle changes — including sustainable and healthy habits — is needed to ensure the weight stays off once you stop taking the drug.
Juniper's healthcare professionals are here to support you every step of the way and make the results of the medication even better.

FAQ
How much weight will I lose, and how quickly?
Every weight loss journey is different – some people find they lose several kilos in the first few weeks of treatment. To give you an idea of what you can expect, in a 2021 study, at 68 weeks, 69.1% of participants had lost more than 10% of body weight, and 50.5% had lost more than 15%. What makes Juniper's Weight Reset Programme different?
When it comes to weight management, successfully keeping weight off is equally as important as losing it. Juniper’s weight loss programme is designed by the best minds in weight management and combines a medical breakthrough that addresses weight gain where it begins, with health coaching and tracking to help you form sustainable habits that stick.
What medication is recommended in the treatment plan?
You will have a consultation with a Juniper prescriber to determine your suitability for the programme. They will prescribe the right medication for your circumstances. You can start the free online assessment to get started and discover more about our treatment. The medication is medically-approved, safe, and particularly effective for regulating your metabolism and hunger hormones. The medication consists of a weekly injection you can safely and easily do at home.
How do I take the medication?
The medication is injected via a pen (a tiny needle — like a pinprick) in the upper thigh or abdomen. It is not a painful self-injection and patients pick up this habit very quickly.
Does the programme require me to go on a diet?
No. We will not ask you to follow strict eating plans, but your health coach will be helping you make healthier food and lifestyle choices.
