FAQs

What happens during a Health Coach call?

Once you have paid for your consultation, you’ll be assigned to a Health Coach who will reach out to you to schedule a call. In your call, your Health Coach will ask detailed questions about your current diet, exercise, and lifestyle. These questions allow theM to tailor an individual plan for your particular needs.

Is the Health Coach call via phone or video?

We recommend video calls (via Zoom), but it’s possible also via regular phone calls if you prefer. This means you can speak with your online Health Coach from the comfort of your home or on the go.

Can I ask the Health Coach for advice about medications?

Our Juniper Health Coaches are a mix of dietitians and nutritionists. They are qualified and regulated health professionals with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) who assess, diagnose, and treat diet and nutritional concerns. Your Health Coach  will advise on how to adjust your diet to increase protein and fibre intake which are proven to help with weight loss, and tailor a plan aimed at helping you to make specific, realistic, and achievable changes. However, they cannot prescribe you any medication or advise you which medication to purchase, even if it's over-the-counter.

How effective are Juniper’s Health Coaches?

Our Health Coaches support patients to improve their health by providing expert nutrition and dietary advice as well as mechanisms for setting goals and staying motivated in your weight management journey. Health Coaching is an evidence-based, patient-centred approach to assisting individuals in achieving their health-related goals. Is the price of the Health Coach call a one-off or a subscription?

The cost of a call with a Juniper Health Coach call is £59. After your initial call, your Health Coach will develop a personalised health plan with your goals, recipe recommendations and movement ideas which you can follow each month until your next scheduled call. You are not locked into a subscription if you only speak to your Juniper Health Coach once.

Who are the Health Coaches?

Your Health Coach is a UK-registered nutritionist or dietitian who will discuss your goals, lifestyle, and dietary requirements with you, to give you tailored guidance on how to lose weight.
